Music has always been part of my life, but I didn’t truly begin writing until I was incarcerated. Writing became a way to cope, survive, and make sense of everything I was carrying. It gave me somewhere to put the weight — the anger, the faith, the questions, the truth.

That’s where this music really comes from. It’s not manufactured or performative. It’s how I learned to breathe again when everything else was stripped away.
